Skills You Bring
We are seeking an action-oriented, data driven, hands-on, and versatile Director of Marketing to be the first full-time marketer for our rapidly evolving Go to Market efforts. This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting the company's marketing activities, from building brand awareness to driving leads for the sales team. You’ll be the driving force behind identifying and executing against multiple simultaneous marketing opportunities, with a strong focus on generating high-quality leads that convert to new client relationships.

This role will also require you to act as a generalist marketer and collaborate closely with marketing leadership, sales, product, and leadership teams to align marketing efforts with our strategic goals and enhance our market presence. You’ll be part of a rapidly growing organization making a significant impact in the data, analytics, and AI space with the opportunity to shape and execute marketing strategies that drive business growth.


Key Responsibilities
  • Performance Marketing: Develop and execute comprehensive performance marketing strategies to drive lead generation and sales opportunities. Utilize data-driven insights to optimize campaigns across various channels, including SEM, , PR, social media, email marketing, and content marketing.
  • Lead Nurturing: Develop and implement lead nurturing programs to engage and convert prospects throughout the sales funnel. Work closely with the sales enablement and sale teams to ensure a seamless handoff of leads and optimize lead conversion rates.
  • Campaign Management: Manage end-to-end campaign processes, including planning, execution, tracking, and analysis. Ensure campaigns are aligned with business goals and deliver measurable results.
  • Marketing Opportunity Analysis and Execution: Use your strong understanding of B2B sales and marketing principles, including account-based marketing, value proposition, content strategy and development, product promotion, and go-to-market planning and programs to identify and prioritize opportunities to execute against. Test and learn which tactics are most effective and work cross-functionally to scale them.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics. Prepare regular reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget efficiently, ensuring optimal allocation of resources across various initiatives. Track expenditures and report on ROI for marketing activities.

Professional Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing and 2+ years of team leadership, with a strong focus on performance marketing/demand generation and using analytics to make data-driven decisions. Experience in the data and AI industry, training sector or related fields, and in innovative growth company environments, is highly desirable.
  • Deep knowledge of targeted lead generation and track record exceeding lead generation goals.
  • Experience developing, nurturing, and managing opportunities with a proven track record of managing and scaling successful campaigns.
  • Expertise in at least 2 digital marketing channels, including paid demand generation, PR, social media, or email marketing.
  • Experience with HubSpot is preferred and a more general understanding of CRM tools, principles, and best practices is required.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using marketing analytics and data visualization tools to assess marketing activities (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, Power BI etc).
  • Strong writing abilities, with the ability to translate technical materials and concepts into buying facing communications.
  • Basic design capabilities to create and adapt marketing materials within brand guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Tech-savvy, capable of troubleshooting marketing and sales technology challenges.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Tools (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, develop and execute against priorities in ambiguous environments, and adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Reliably capable of critical thinking and originating creative ideas.

While our roots are in Washington, DC, our employees span the globe, and you will receive support to work remotely effectively and collaboratively. Current base salary range is $125,000 - $175,000. This position is eligible for full benefits including health, medical, dental, short and long-term disability, and life insurance, as well as our 401k, transit subsidy, unlimited PTO, and 15 paid holidays during 2024.
